All the details of this Northeastern duck are highlighted in this remarque by Ron Jenkins. A huge corner single, Jenkins has added three black ducks in flight with blue sky behind them. | RW12RT 1949 Shoveler, Attractive remarque by Ken Michaelsen, a tribute to Owen Gromme. The large corner selvage of the stamp provides plenty of room for Michaelsen to work his magic on the stamp. A drake and hen shoveler have been added, bringing a splash of color to the black and white stamp. The shoveler is a beautiful duck, as shown here by the green head of the drake and the bright yellow eye. F-VF NH

| RW25 1958 Canada goose, This well-known species is native to North America. Its nest is usually located in an elevated area near water, a scene depicted on the tribute remarque by Ken Michaelsen. During the second year of their lives, Canada Geese find a mate. They are monogamous, and most couples stay together all of their lives. The black head and neck with white "chinstrap" distinguish the Canada goose along with its brownish, body plumage, which Michaelsen has painted here with amazing accuracy. Les Kouba would surely be happy with the addition to his stamp! VF NH

| RW32R 1965 Canvasback, Another fine example of the creativity Ron Jenkins exhibits in creating his remarques. To the face of the stamp, Jenkins has added one canvasback drake, a cliff and the North Head Lighthouse (lighthouse name noted in yellow in the selvage). Across the top, he has painted two canvasback drakes in flight, and has boldly signed the stamp on the side. North Head is one of the windiest places in the United States. The North Head Lighthouse is located in Cape Disappointment State Park in Washington State. F-VF LH
